Monica Jorge is a photographer from Hartford, CT

In 2015, Monica relocated from Northwestern Ohio to New York City where she studied visual journalism and documentary studies at The International Center of Photography (ICP).  In 2017, Monica was awarded the Alexia Foundation student grant for her longterm work about her grandmother.  She spent time at The Hartford Courant before freelancing full-time based in Hartford, Connecticut, where she is from.  Currently she covers the state of Connecticut and the Northeast region for various clients including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, NPR, among others.

She has diversified greatly through the years and additionally works with corporate clients, events, and bridal couples.
